Plenty of keys in ARC Raiders look important, then end up collecting dust. The Blue Gate Communication Tower Key isn't one of them. It's awkward to find, though, and that's what throws people off. You can spend ages searching Blue Gate and come up empty, then suddenly pull it from a container on a totally different map while sorting through ARC Raiders Items routes in your head. From what I've seen, indoor loot spots in Dam Battlegrounds are a better bet, especially places like Ruby Residence and the Research & Administration Building. It feels random because it is, but that key's worth hanging onto when it drops.

Where the key actually goes

Once you've got it, don't overthink the destination. Queue into Blue Gate and head for the northeast side of the map, up at Pilgrim's Peak. The tower itself stands out right away, so getting to the area isn't the hard part. Finding the locked door is. A lot of players waste time circling the lower level, checking every entrance, then getting shot while they're still confused. The cleaner route is to go up first. Reach the upper platform, catch the zipline down into the structure, and you'll come in close to the basement access point. There's a heavy metal door there, easy to miss if you're rushing. Interact with it, and the key is gone after one use.

What you get for the trouble

The room behind that door is why people care about this key in the first place. It's not huge, and honestly that's part of the appeal. You're not stuck clearing a sprawling vault with long sightlines and too many angles to watch. It's a tight loot room with server racks, weapon cases, resource crates, and loose items tucked into drawers and shelves. You can get in, sweep it fast, and get out before the whole lobby seems to notice where you are. The loot still has some luck involved, sure, but the density is strong enough that even a decent run usually feels worthwhile.

Best time to use it

Most experienced players don't burn this key the second they find it. They stash it and wait for a proper run, usually when they're geared, focused, and ready to head straight for Pilgrim's Peak. Night Raid is the obvious choice if you can handle the pressure. Visibility's worse, fights get messy, and one bad sound cue can ruin your plan. Still, the better reward potential makes the gamble feel fair. If you're going in at night, don't drift around looting side buildings on the way. Pick your route before deployment, move with purpose, and treat the key like the main objective, not a backup idea.

Why it's better saved than carried

This is one of those items that shouldn't live in your backpack "just in case." That usually ends with you losing it to a random ambush long before you reach the tower. Keep it in stash until the raid where you actually mean to use it. That's the smarter play, especially if you're planning around high-value extraction or checking gear options through places like U4GM when setting up for a focused run. The key only does one job, but it does that job well, and if you use it at the right moment, it can turn a fairly normal raid into a seriously profitable one.
